Bulls sign guard E'Twaun Moore

The Bulls officially signed former Purdue guard E'Twaun Moore on Thursday, bringing their roster to 13 players under contract.

It's a homecoming of sorts for the 6-foot-4 guard, a native of East Chicago, Ind. After leaving Purdue, Moore has spent three seasons in the NBA, playing for the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic. He got some quality playing time with the rebuilding Magic the last two years and was a decent scorer off the bench.

Moore averaged 7.1 points in 21 minutes during two seasons in Orlando, shooting 41 percent from the field and 35 percent from 3-point range.

The addition of Moore gives the Bulls one player on the roster who is a true shooting guard.

Jimmy Butler and Tony Snell figure to get most of the minutes at two guard this season and either one could easily slide over to small forward. The Bulls may also play Derrick Rose or Kirk Hinrich at shooting guard sometimes.

With 13 players under contract, this will probably be the season-opening roster, unless there are injury problems during preseason. Training camp begins on Sept. 30 at the new Advocate Center.

The Bulls' roster now includes Rose, Hinrich, Moore and Aaron Brooks at guard; wings Butler, Snell, Mike Dunleavy, Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic; with big men Pau Gasol, Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson and second-round pick Cameron Bairstow.
