Girls volleyball: Fox Valley roundup Thursday, Sept. 18

Elgin d. Bartlett: The Maroons equaled last year's win total with a 15-25, 27-25, 25-19 Upstate Eight crossover win. Leading Elgin (8-8) on the night were Abby Pierre-Louis (7 kills), Sabrina Stockman (3 kills), Alisha Panthier (3 kills, 3 blocks), Emma Sirridge (5 kills), Julie Camarena (15 digs), Bopha Travis (20 digs), Mimi Hernandez (2 aces, 6 digs), Kaylie Witsiepe (4 digs), Tiana Palumbo (9 digs, 19 assists) and Emil; y Huprich (6 kills). Bartlett (2-6) got 10 kills and 6 aces from Natalie Moll, 6 kills from Kelly Harris, 4 aces from Courtney Shadd and 24 assists from Danielle Santucci.

Cary-Grove d. Jacobs: Abby Schebel had 9 kills and Ally Vasquez added 8 to lead the Trojans (12-4, 4-0) to a 23-25, 25-12, 26-24 Fox Valley Conference Valley Division win. Erin Olson had 28 assist for C-G and Bree Coffey 25 digs.

Burlington Central d. Marengo: Lauren Wiltsie had 12 aces and 5 kills and Aly DeTamble added 4 aces, 4 kills and 6 digs to lead the Rockets to a 25-7, 25-10 Big Northern East win. Kayla Rafferty (2 aces, 3 kills), Maddy Barry (9 assists, 4 digs) and Megan Lomas (3 kills) also contributed for BC (8-2, 4-0).

St. Edward d. Riverside-Brookfield: Dominique Washington had 12 kills and 10 assist as the Green Wave (10-3, 4-1) won 21-25, 25-22, 25-22 in the Metro Suburban West. Megan Barth added 8 kills, Cece Rapp had 6 and Casey Gredzieleski 8 assists for St. Edward.

Woodstock d. Hampshire: Kaila Kienzler had 7 kills and Erin Foss 5 for Hampshire in a 25-20, 24-26, 25-16 FVC Fox loss. Brittany Laffin dished out 26 assists for the Whip-Purs.

Huntley d. Dundee-Crown: With 11 kills, Erin Erb led the Red Raiders to a 25-21, 25-11 FVC Valley win. Aly Dion added 9 kills for Huntley (8-3, 2-1) while Sydney Holt had 4 blocks and Haley Arnieri added 9 digs. Bre Novak and Kailey Moll had 5 kills each and Frankie Cavallaro added 3 kills and 14 assists for Dundee-Crown. Gina Pagano added 6 kills and Mandy Mosher had 4 aces for the Chargers.
