Apples aplenty at the Schaumburg Park District

Think of all the ways you can play with an apple a day.

Autumn is here which means apple picking season is upon us. See all the fun you can have with apples 2-3 p.m., Sept. 21 at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road.

Children ages 6 to 9 will play games, create a recipe book and enjoy a tasty apple treat.

"This is going to be an all-out apple feast! Everything you can think of to do with apples will happen at this event," said Mary Rice, District education coordinator. "Kids will have a blast learning about apples, playing apple games and making apple crafts."

Cost is $8 for residents and $12 for non-residents.
