  All golfers know that birdies can be elusive. While St. Charles East High School's Daniel Haugen putts on the 9th hole at the Geneva boys golf invitational, a sparrow taunts him as it scampers across the green at Mill Creek Golf Club. I shot the scene with a 300 mm lens. Haugen made the shot and the bird continued on it's way.   "The call me Mr. Lucky," says Dean Shuck, who was treasure hunting at Lords Park in Elgin Tuesday. The Elgin man who has been using his metal detector for a little more than two-years said that he has found countless coins, some dating back to the late 1800s as well as six diamond rings. "I give them to my wife" says Shuck, who went on to say that they then sell them and give the money to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
