Twins avoid sweep, snap White Sox' winning streak

Looking for their first five-game winning streak of the season Sunday afternoon, the White Sox found themselves on the losing end of a 6-4 decision to the Twins at U.S. Cellular Field.

Minnesota jumped out to an early lead when Trevor Plouffe homered off Sox starter Hector Noesi leading off the second inning and Oswaldo Arcia followed with a single before eventually coming home on Eduardo Escobar's sacrifice fly.

It the fourth inning, the Twins increased their lead to 4-0 with another home run off Noesi, this time a 2-run shot by Jordan Schafer.

The White Sox rallied back with 2 runs in the bottom of the fourth on RBI singles from Jose Abreu and Conor Gillaspie.

In the fifth inning, catcher Adrian Nieto's solo home run off starter Trevor May cut Minnesota's lead to 4-3, and Abreu added another solo homer in the ninth.
