Geneva seeks community input on goals

The city of Geneva is seeking community feedback on its long-range planning goals as officials continue crafting a vision for the future.

Residents and business owners are invited to a town-hall meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, in city hall council chambers, 109 James St. The meeting is being organized by the city's strategic planning advisory committee.

Participants can hear the latest about the city's strategic plan and provide input on its vision and goals. Committee members will explain the purpose behind the plan's seven visions and ask the audience to help prioritize individual goals.

A volunteer board appointed by the mayor, the committee aims to preserve the strategic plan and convey citizens' priorities to city staff and elected officials.
