Mundelein High School celebrates homecoming

"There's No Place Like Homecoming" is this year's theme for Mundelein High School's homecoming.

The school held its annual parade Friday, stepping off from Hawley Street and Prospect Avenue. Local residents lined the streets in the rain to gather candy and cheer on the bands, floats and the king and queen.

Other activities this week included float building, olympic games, dress up days, powder puff football games and an indoor marching band concert.

Before the parade, a pep rally was held for the football players and the announcement of the homecoming court and crowning of the king and queen, Wes Farmer and Daniella Feijoo. The Mustangs hosted the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees in football action.

The week of events concludes Saturday night with a dance at the school.
