Get Ready for Stevenson High School Fall Sports!

A new school year has begun and as my kids are getting ready for school, I feel excited for the 2014-15 sports season. Residents should take advantage of the great sports we have right in our own backyard. Stevenson High School has many fall sports, however right now all of the attention is on their Varsity Football Team. Come out and cheer on these football athletes and enjoy a Friday night with music, grilled burgers, a yummy concession stand and most of all skilled and fast paced games.

Stevenson is currently ranked number 1 in the state of Illinois and #83 in the country. Going to a Stevenson game is a big experience with a big production. Parking lots fill up quickly and the bleachers are crowded fast with frantic students on one side, and fun families eager to see their team win on the other. No doubt about it, the game experience is always complete. You can see the amazing marching band and their music. Best of all Spirit Revolution, cheer and poms teams will help pull you into the game. During half time, make sure to watch the performance by Stevenson's state ranked Varsity Patriettes (Poms dance team) on the field. Their race to state will begin with their competition season in full force starting in November. The dedication of these poms girls is noticeable with every synchronized move from all of their summer training. You can see it in their skilled dance choreography.
