Shop early for holidays at Holmstad's 37th annual bazaar Oct. 4
It's not too early to beat the holiday rush and find that perfect gift.
Stop by The Holmstad's 37th annual bazaar, set for Saturday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the community's Town Center. The Holmstad, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities, is located at 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia.
Fine homemade jewelry and crafts, cards and books, and artwork and plants are among the items for sale this year. Browse through a variety of high-quality gift ideas, like those found at the flea market style This 'n' That shop, and be sure to take home some homemade baked goods. This year, the bazaar will feature a professional basket weaver demonstrating the Nantucket-style basket weaving.
The 37th annual bazaar is sponsored by The Holmstad Residents Association. Profits contribute to the association's financial support of various causes throughout the year, including college scholarships for graduating high school seniors employed by The Holmstad, the Good Samaritan Fund to assist financially challenged residents, Batavia Public Library, and the Batavia Fire Department, to name a few.
Admission is free. For more details, visit www.TheHolmstad.org or call (877) 226-7310.
