Girls volleyball: Fox Valley roundup Thursday, Sept. 11

Larkin d. East Aurora: Danielle Newquist had 7 kills and 5 digs and Natalie Kofie delivered 18 assists as Larkin won 25-9, 25-11 in an Upstate Eight crossover. Izzo Orozco, Audrey Shores, Ella Roland and Amelia Gill each added 4 kills for the Royals (3-9) and April McGhee had 7 digs.

Dundee-Crown d. McHenry: Kiana Mays had 9 kills and Gina Pagano added 12 digs to lead the Chargers to a 25-19, 25-17 Fox Valley Conference Valley Division win. Kathyrn Nova (4 kills, 2 blocks) and Frankie Cavallaro (3 kills, 17 assists, 5 digs) also contributed for D-C (6-4, 1-1).

CL Central d. Huntley: Erin Erb had 18 kills and Haley Arnieri 15 digs but Huntley fell in a marathon crossover 9-25, 25-19, 25-19. Kelsey DeWulf added 21 assists and Ally Dion had 8 kills for the Red Raiders (7-2).

Westminster Christian d. Luther North: Jackie Calabrese had 13 aces and Lindsey Vanden Bos added 6 digs to lead the Warriors (3-3, 2-2) to a 25-9, 25-13 Northeastern Athletic Conference win.

South Elgin d. Sycamore: Katie Innis had 9 kills and 9 digs and Rachel Priore added 10 digs and 6 kills as the Storm won 18-25, 25-17, 28-26 in nonconference action. Renee Rush added 13 digs and 4 kills for South Elgin (3-5-1).

Prairie Ridge d. Hampshire: Erin Foss had 5 kills and Brittany Laffin 10 assists for the Whip-Purs in a 25-7, 25-20 FVC Fox loss.

Elgin d. Proviso East: Tiana Palumbo had 3 aces, 3 digs and 11 assists while Nikki Zimmer and Abby Pierre-Louis each had 4 kills to lead Elgin (5-5) to a 25-18, 25-13 nonconference win. Julie Camarena added 11 digs for the Maroons.
