Day of Play in Vernon Hills:
Worldwide Day of Play is a free, family event at Century Park North, north of Route 60 on Indianwood Drive in Vernon Hills, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20. Structured and unstructured activities will be available for all ages, including a baggo tournament, moonwalk, sand volleyball, basketball contests, sack races, egg toss, hula hoop contests plus so much more. To accommodate all, families are asked to register with the Vernon Hills Park District, (847) 996-6800. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be canceled.
