Celebrating Grandparents' Day!

On September 5th, grandparents of Saint James School students were sweetly welcomed into the Parish Center and ushered to seats where their grandchildren would soon come to join them for the SJS 6th Annual Grandparents' Day Mass and Open House.

Father Matt celebrated the Mass and thanked the grandparents for being great role models in faith to their grandchildren and asked them to make a date with their grandchildren to attend a weekend Mass together. At the end of Mass, Mr. and Mrs. Murphy, who have grandchildren in the school, spoke about the importance of a solid foundation that includes an ethical and moral education, how they sent their own children to Catholic school, and how proud they were of their children and grandchildren for making it a priority in their lives as well.

It was a beautiful day to show appreciation and thanks to grandparents and parents for the gift of Catholic education.
