Elgin man charged in July burglary
Elgin police say they arrested a man Tuesday night for a residential burglary that happened in late July.
On July 23, Elgin police responded to the 0-100 block of Longwood where a resident reported that a screen was removed and several electronics and some jewelry were missing, police said in a news release.
Evidence left at the scene led them to Elvan Wallace, 44, of Elgin, police said. Wallace was charged with one count residential burglary.
