MainStreet Libertyville hosts Oktoberfest Sept. 20

MainStreet Libertyville hosts its annual Oktoberfest event from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, on Church Street in downtown Libertyville.

Throughout the evening, German music and popular local bands Betty Soul and CoverGurl will provide music for dancing. German food and Oktoberfest beer will be in ample supply from Mickey Finn's. Big Ed's Barbecue will also be serving food.

During this year's event, and in honor of MainStreet's 25th anniversary, tickets will be sold for a downtown Libertyville raffle basket worth more than $2,000.

The basket includes food items, design and makeup consultations, certificates for painting, dance classes, spa services, clothing, accessories, and more. The winner will be announced that night and does not need to be present to win.

Admission tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets are available at the MainStreet office, 160 E. Cook, and online, while supplies last. When purchasing admission tickets online, you will receive an email that must be presented at the entrance for admittance. Children are admitted for free.

Food and refreshments are available for purchase. For information, contact the MainStreet office at (847) 680-0336, visit www.mainstreetlibertyville.org or find MainStreet Libertyville on Facebook.

Free parking is available in the Civic Center lot or in the covered parking garage on Brainerd.
