Officials: Aurora Burger King fire causes $30,000 in damage

A fire at an Aurora fast food restaurant Monday night resulted in an estimated $30,000 in damages, officials said, but no injuries were reported.

The fire occurred at a Burger King on the 2800 block of East New York Street, according to a news release from the Aurora Fire Department. Crews found the fryer on fire, the release said, and the fire was contained to the kitchen. However, there was significant smoke damage through the restaurant, officials said.
