Elmhurst's pub crawl

Follow the sound of the bagpipes at this year's Elmhurst Barstool Open Pub Crawl from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13. With a golf theme, the annual event pays tribute to Scots everywhere. Spears' tailgate

Tap House Grill opens in Palatine

Tap House Grill opened a ninth location, this time in Palatine. Enjoy the beer of the month: $3.50 Sam Adams Octoberfest drafts or daily drink specials like Wednesday's $3 Captain Morgan cocktails and $3 cans of beer; Thursday's $5 Smirnoff martinis and $4 glasses of wine; Friday's and Saturday's $5 Tito's cocktails; and Sunday's $2.50 Miller Lite and Coors Light drafts.
