Friends of Lords Park Zoo to host Fall Party
The Friends of Lords Park Zoo invites the community to its fall fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 21, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Imago, 219 Prairie St., Elgin.
The event will also feature live music, a 50/50 raffle and a variety of silent auction items.
Wine, beer, soft drinks and hors d'oeuvres by American Cuisine will be served and are included in the price of admission.
Tickets, which are $25 each, can be purchased online through the Friends of Lords Park Zoo Facebook page: Lords Park Zoo-Elgin, Illinois, or by sending a check to: Friends of Lords Park Zoo. P.O. Box 1187. Elgin, Illinois 60121-1187, indicating name, address and the number of tickets desired. Tickets will be held at the door.
Tickets can also be purchased that day; however, because space is limited patrons are encouraged to indicate their plans to attend through the Facebook page.
In addition to food, drink, music, and the opportunity to take home a silent auction prize, board members of Friends of Lords Park Zoo will present an update on zoo activities including the addition of new elk to the herd, and the recent reopening of the farm animal zoo exhibit.
