Day of Giving for Antioch native
Culver's of Antioch will hold a Day of Giving on Tuesday, Sept. 9, to establish a memorial fund for Kathryn Kowalczyk, a 23-year-old who died last month in a car crash. The restaurant at 451 E. Route 173 is open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Ten percent of the day's total sales will be donated. Friends and family of the Antioch native will be on hand during the lunch and dinner hours. Kowalczyk graduated from Antioch Community High School, studied at the College of Lake County and participated in various local equestrian programs. Kowalczyk was an assistant manager at the Walmart next to the restaurant and was a regular visitor who everyone knew and cared about.
