Fox Valley Beaux Arts to host fall style show and luncheon
Fox Valley Beaux Arts will celebrate its 31st anniversary as an arts organization within the community by holding a style show/luncheon to raise funds for scholarships in the area of the fine arts.
"Lights! Camera! Action!" is the theme of the Fox Valley Beaux Arts Scholarship luncheon to be held Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Elgin Country Club, 2575 Weld Road, Elgin.
Beaux Arts will offer raffles, a silent auction, vendors and a style show/luncheon, with fashions by Chicos of the Arboretum at South Barrington.
Highlighting this year's runway will be special guest, Miss Illinois 2013 Season Winesburg who will also be a featured speaker and guest model at the event. The red carpet arrival will take place at 11 a.m. for the silent auction and cocktail hour, followed by luncheon, the style show and raffles.
Beaux Arts has maintained a philanthropic profile in the arts for over three decades, offering scholarships to area students in the fine arts as well as supporting Independent Players theater group in Elgin. Last year's event awarded eight scholarships to recipients in the Fox Valley area.
Tickets are $40 or $60 (including luncheon and 11 raffle tickets) with proceeds supporting scholarships. All friends of the arts are welcome to join Beaux Arts members for an enjoyable fall afternoon of fine arts, fun and fashion.
