Join ECC at "Movie on the Lawn" night Sept. 18

Elgin Community College will be hosting "Movie on the Lawn" night at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, on its new green space located on the open grassy area near the Building C library on the campus, 1700 Spartan Drive.

The Office of Student Life will be showing "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" on a 40-foot movie screen.

"We are very excited to host this event to our students and general community population," says Katie Storey, Student Life Coordinator. "This is our first time hosting an outdoor movie event where everyone is invited."

The college recently hosted an outdoor movie night for new students to kick off the fall semester; approximately 125 students attended.

"Movie on the Lawn" night, sponsored by the Office of Student Life, is free and open to the public. Snacks will be provided. Those interested are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair.
