Multicultural fundraiser dinner in Schaumburg Sept. 13

Metropolitan Asian Family Services, a nonprofit multicultural and multiethnic organization, will hold its annual fundraiser dinner from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at India House Banquet Hall, 1521 W. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg.

The evening will include a fashion show by Prinbyprina and music by singers Zaheer Abbas and Uma Karia, Puran Vyas on tabla dholak, Shazad Markes on keyboard, David Massie on guitar and Nadeem Amin on drums.

The donation cost is $50 for seniors, $100 for regular admission, $125 for VIP and $175 for VVIP.

Organization officials said Gov. Pat Quinn, U.S. Rep. Bill Foster and Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan are currently scheduled to attend.
