Gurnee lands new finance boss
Brian C. Gosnell will be the next Gurnee finance director, officials announced Wednesday. Gosnell, who has been Round Lake Beach's finance boss since 2011, will start in Gurnee on Sept. 22 and replace the retiring Diane Lembesis. Gosnell has more than 12 years of local government finance experience and began his public sector career as Grayslake's assistant finance director in 2001. He became Highland Park's deputy finance director in 2007 before landing the top post in Round Lake Beach in 2011. "I appreciate the opportunity granted to me by the village of Gurnee," Gosnell said. "I am excited to work cooperatively with village leaders and the Gurnee community to advance the village's mission and financial goals."
