Two AAUW STEM Scholarships Awarded

DIANA FLANAGAN of Libertyville and ALEXANDRIA HARE of Antioch are the 2014-2015 academic year recipients of the $500 STEM scholarships offered by the Waukegan Area Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women). The Waukegan Area Branch annually provides educational funding for girls pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics via the STEM scholarship. Diana is the daughter of Mike and Emma Flanagan. She begins her engineering degree through the College of Lake County's Engineering Pathways program from which she will transfer to the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Alexandria is the daughter of David and Kimberly Hare. Her bio-medical engineering degree begins at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
