Palatine Township Republicans hold pig roast fundraiser Sept. 7

The Palatine Township Republican Organization (PTRO) is holding its annual pig roast fundraiser from noon to 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 7, at Plum Grove Reservoir in Palatine.

A plate of roast pig, side dishes and a drink ticket is $20 in advance or $25 at the picnic for adults, and $5 in advance for children or $7 at the picnic. Tickets are available at palatinerepublicans.org.

Bears fans will be able to watch the game on a large-screen television and children as well as adults will be entertained by a variety of games and activities.

Gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner and/or his running mate, Evelyn Sanguinetti, as well as U.S., Rep. Peter Roskam, will be attending the event. A number of Palatine-area representatives and candidates also are scheduled to attend, including state Rep. Tom Morrison, state Sen. Matt Murphy, Cook County Commissioner Greg Gosling, Commissioner Dan Patlak, judicial candidate John Curry and Cook County GOP Chairman and Palatine Committeeman Aaron Del Mar.
