Boy finds body in northwestern Indiana pond

GARY, Ind. - Authorities say a boy out fishing found a man's body in a northwestern Indiana pond.

The Lake County coroner's office identified the man as 40-year-old Anthony Morales of Gary but said the cause of his death wasn't immediately determined.

The Times of Munster reports (http://bit.ly/1pzYhAx) the boy told Lake County sheriff's officers he was fishing at a pond in an unincorporated area just outside Gary when he spotted something under the water. After he saw that it was a body, he ran and told his mother.

People who had been swimming and fishing in the area a day earlier told investigators they didn't see the body Saturday.
