Worldwide Day of Play, a free, family event encouraging families to get outdoors will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Century Park North on Indianwood Drive, Vernon Hills. Structured and unstructured activities will be available for all ages, including a baggo tournament, moonwalk, sand volleyball, basketball contests, sack races, egg toss, hula hoop contests and more. To accommodate all of the families, register with the Vernon Hills Park District by calling (847) 996-6800. The event will be canceled if the weather is inclement.
