Conservation group to host weekely bird walks in Barrington area

The Audubon Chicago Region and local Citizens for Conservation are working together to plan several free bird hikes in the Barrington area in the coming weeks.

The five hikes will be led by Barrington area naturalist Wendy Paulson and will be held every week in a different part of the Barrington area. The first walk will be at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, at Bakers Lake in Barrington. Check citizensforconservation.org/event-calendars/ for the locations of the other hikes.

Those interested must register by contacting Dan Jacobson at djacobson@audubon.org. Check the Citizens for Conservation website for any last-minute changes or cancellations, or call (847) 328-1250, ext. 10, for information.
