St. Edward 5th at Timothy: The Green Wave went 4-1 for the weekend and finished in fifth place at the Timothy Christian tournament. St. Edward's only loss was to Westmont on Friday. The Wave beat Elmwood Park, Latin, Harvest Christian and Chicago U-High. Dominique Washington (32 kills, 21 digs, 9 aces, 19 assists), Alyssa Saunders (48 digs, 6 aces), Casey Fredzieleski (35 digs, 20 aces), Cece Rapp (24 kills) and Megan Barth (19 kills, 23 digs) led the way for St. Edward (5-2).

Elgin 3-2 at Rockford East: The Maroons beat Freeport, Hampshire and Sandwich and lost to Ashton-Franklin Center and Quincy Notre Dame in Rockford, finishing first in the Division III pool. Leading Elgin (4-3) in the tournament were Abby Pierre-Louis (5 digs, 21 kills, 9 blocks), Megan Alexander (3 aces, 6 kills, 10 blocks), Alisha Panthier (10 kills, 10 blocks), Emma Sirridge (4 aces, 5 digs, 16 kills, 5 blocks), Julie Camarena (5 aces, 42 digs), Bopha Travis (4 aces, 35 digs), Mimi Hernandez (3 aces, 28 digs) and Tiana Palumbo (7 aces, 15 digs, 48 assists, 8 kills), who was named to the all-tournament team.

At Wheaton North: Larkin had a tough day at the Wheaton North tournament, losing to Oak Forest, St. Viator and Romeoville. Danielle Newquist had 20 kills and April McGhee added 34 digs to lead the Royals (1-6).
