Two Naperville-area men charged with selling ecstasy, cocaine

Two Naperville-area men were being held Friday in DuPage County jail charged with multiple counts of selling the party drug ecstasy and cocaine to undercover police officers.

Marco A. Aguilar-Herrera, 19, of the 800 block of Benedetti Drive in Naperville, is charged with delivery of a controlled substance and is being held on $100,000 bail.

Carlos Sebastian Romero, 19, of the 25W000 block of Keswick Drive near Naperville, is charged with manufacture or delivery of ecstasy and the manufacture or delivery of cocaine. Romero is being held on $75,000 bail.

DuPage County sheriff's officials said their tactical narcotics team was tipped off to Aguilar-Herrera in May and quickly began tracking him. He was arrested earlier this month after officials said he delivered about 20 grams of ecstasy to an undercover officer during a controlled buy.

In a related investigation, officers arrested Romero late Wednesday on a two-count felony warrant for possession and delivery of both ecstasy and cocaine. Police said Romero sold ecstasy and cocaine to an undercover detective on multiple occasions.

Both men are expected back in court on Sept. 8.
