• Thieves stole the catalytic converter between 7:50 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. Aug. 26 from a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero in the Arlington Park Metra depot lot, 2121 W. Northwest Hwy. Value was estimated at $525.

• Thieves stole a cellphone between 8:20 and 9 p.m. Aug. 27 from its owner at Olive Garden Restaurant, 630 E. Rand Road. Value was estimated at $300.

Buffalo Grove

• Thieves stole a wallet around 3 p.m. Aug. 21 out of a purse in an office on the 300 block of West Dundee Road.

• Thieves used white paint Aug. 25 to spray graffiti on the playground and skate park equipment at 655 Golfview.

• Vandals sprayed graffiti between 9 p.m. Aug. 13 and 7:48 a.m. Aug. 14 on a wall and parking lot by the playground at Prairie School on the 1500 block of Brandywyn Lane.

• Offenders burglarized at least four unlocked vehicles between 11 p.m. Aug. 13 and 6 a.m. Aug. 14 on the 500 and 600 blocks of Patton Drive and 400 block of White Pine Drive.

• Thieves stole a baby stroller between 10 p.m. Aug. 13 and 5 p.m. Aug. 14 from a driveway on the 600 block of Raupp Boulevard.
