Schaumburg Township to host Community Wellness Day

Schaumburg Township will host its fourth annual Community Wellness Day from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 1 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates.

Residents have the opportunity for free screenings in cholesterol, glucose, hearing, otoscopic, varicose veins, peripheral arterial disease, body mass index, spinal stress scan and blood pressure.

Cholesterol screening is by appointment by calling (847) 884-0030, ext. 3016. On-site pneumonia shots will be offered by Jewel-Osco. Registration is required by calling (847) 942-4840.

Flu vaccinations will be offered for $25 (cash or check) or free with proof of Medicare Part B.

In addition to the screenings, participants can receive a free 10-minute massage, fee eyeglass adjustment, sharps disposal, and visit numerous vendor tables to learn about services they provide.
