AOIIs Plan Inverness Kick-Off Meeting Sept.10

Stephanie Feldmann will host the opening Alpha Omicron Pi alum meeting of the 2014-5 season at 823 Stone Canyon Circle, Inverness at 7:30 PM on Wed., Sept 10. The theme is "Focus on Your Sisters". After a short business meeting, the group will enjoy an ice breaker and other games. It's perfect for new members and those unable to attend recently.

In the absence of the chapter president, Sue Dunmead of Schaumburg will preside and Stephanie Mete of Lake Zurich will provide a brief report on the recent Leadership Institute in Nashville TN. The Chicago Northwest Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi was honored with three awards at the L.I. conference.

Co-hostesses are Laura Schellenbach of Palatine and Judy Zawacke of Arlington Heights.

AOIIs will collect items for "Get Fit",one of the Spring Auction raffle baskets. This means fitness or wellness items, whether a headband, an exercise CD or a book on yoga. The basket will be used at AOII's March fundraiser. Contributions are very welcome, but optional.

Coming up on Sept. 21 is "Emma's Walk", which many local AOIIs support with donations and/or their time. It benefits AHC (Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood), a medical condition experienced by the daughter of an AOII. The walk is from 10 AM-1 PM at Paulus Park in Lake Zurich on Sept. 21.

New AOIIs should call Diane Pellettiere of Palatine at 847-934-4162 to sign up for the Sept. 10 meeting or to ask questions.
