Calling All Grillmasters: Compete in the C.A.T.I.F. Rib & Chicken Cook-Off!

The 4th Annual Family Picnic-Rib & Chicken Cook-Off will be again be hosted by Palatine-based non-profit, C.A.T.I.F. [Celebrating All That Is Feminine] in front of Lamplighters Inn on Station Street in downtown Palatine.

The event will take place on Sunday, September 14 from noon until 5 p.m., and individuals with 'skills on the grill' still have an opportunity to register to compete in the Rib & Chicken Cook-Off!

The event will not only bring on some healthy competition for a $250 cash prize, it also will provide a variety of activities and events for the entire family.

The band Unconstitutional will be performing live, with an appearance by Bag O Jammers, along with a dunk tank, bouncy house and kids games and entertainment.

The event is free and open to the public, and tickets for food and games can be purchased for $1 each or 25 for $20.

The charity beneficiary will be the Palatine Opportunity Center, a non-profit that assists in-need Palatine residents by connecting them with resources to create a pathway for integration and success.
