Free Fall Festival at Palatine Township Senior Center

The Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council (PTSCC) will host a Fall Festival, free and open to the public, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at the Palatine Township Senior Center, 505 S. Quentin Road, in Palatine. Enjoy refreshments, screenings, free demonstrations, exhibitor tables and over 20 free raffles.

Free screenings include glucose testing, (BMI) Body Mass Index measurements, Senior Fit testing/fall risk testing, and blood pressure readings.

Enjoy free chair massage and free demonstrations of a Drum Circle, Mah Jongg, Pinochle, Tai Chi, and Cribbage and find out how much fun these activities are to participate in. See what other quality programs and services the PTSCC offers and visit 23 to its supporters offering their expertise ranging from senior living facilities, in-home health care, medical providers, insurance, legal assistance and more.

The PTSCC Social Services department will be offering free senior entitlement screenings and Medicare information. Caramel apples provided by Morkes Chocolates will be available for purchase. Raffle drawings will be held at 11:30.

Stay for lunch served at 11:45 p.m. in the "Our Place Cafe", a $3.50 donation (for those 60 and over). Please sign up in advance. Enjoy free entertainment from 12:15-12:45 p.m. by Eddie Korosa, Jr "The Boys from Illinois" sponsored by Partners in Primary Care. Come see what PTSCC and its supporters have to offer and bring a friend too.

PTSCC provides programs and services which support older adults and their families by encouraging independence, well-being and connection to the community. Recreation, education, health and wellness, Noon Dining, home delivered meals, adult day care and Social Services programs are available to persons 50 and older and their families, who live in Palatine Township and the surrounding communities in the North and Northwest suburbs. Services are available in English, Spanish and Russian at six satellite locations. The Social Services staff also make home visits as needed.
