March with your pet in Palatine parade

Foxglove Cottage and The Music Room, both members of the Downtown Palatine Business Association, present the annual Sweet Pea Pet Parade at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24. The parade will start at the gazebo in Towne Square, 150 W. Palatine Road.

Members of the community are invited to bring their best pet friends to the event; all pets are welcome. Animals and their owners are encouraged to dress up to participate in the parade, or you can just come as you are. The parade will step off at 11:30 a.m. and participants are asked to arrive between 10:45 and 11:15 a.m. to pick up their personalized parade paddles.

If you have had a pet who had died, a memorial paddle can also be requested during the registration process.

The event is free, but registration is required in to be eligible for judging and prizes. The link for online registration is available at www.downtownpalatine.org.

More information about the event can also be requested through the website.
