Jeweler hopes to set wedding vow record in Schaumburg

Wyatt Austin Jewelers is organizing an attempt to break The Guinness World Record for the largest wedding vow renewal ceremony in one location during the evening of Friday, Aug. 22 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel, 1551 N. Thoreau Dr. in Schaumburg.

The record to beat is 1,087 couples, which was set at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 2009.

Registration occurs from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by assembly around the property from 5 to 6 p.m. There will be opening remarks at 6 p.m., the vow renewal ceremony itself at 6:30 p.m. and further programming by the hotel at 7 p.m. For more information, call (847) 303-4100.
