D302 board to discuss appointing interim superintendent Monday
The Kaneland school board is seeking an interim superintendent while it searches for a replacement for departing Superintendent Jeff Schuler.
The board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday to work on its transition plan, according to a news release. The plan will be discussed in closed session. According to the agenda, the board will not take action following the meeting.
Schuler is leaving at the end of August to become superintendent of Wheaton Warrenville District 200.
The board meeting is at the Milnamow Administration Center on the campus of Kaneland High School, Meredith and Keslinger roads, Maple Park.
"The selection of a superintendent for the Kaneland district is the most significant decision that our school board can make. In order to hire the best fit for our district, the process should be very careful, thoughtful and thorough hard work, with input from all segments of the educational community and its stakeholders," board President Cheryl Krauspe said in a news release.
"Details of the superintendent search process will be shared with the community as they become available."
