Trial date set for suspect in Joliet slayings
A trial date has been set for another suspect in the 2013 strangulation deaths of two men in Joliet.
Joshua Miner, 26 has been described in testimony by a co-defendant as a ringleader in the slayings.
A Will County judge on Thursday set his trial date for Sept. 22. The Chicago Sun-Times reported it could be postponed if an evaluation of Miner's sanity at the time of the killings isn't complete.
Miner is charged with murder in the deaths of Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover, both 22.
A verdict in the trial of co-defendant Bethany McKee is expected at the end of this month. A third suspect is awaiting trial, and another has pleaded guilty to robbery and concealment of a homicidal death.
