Teens Invited to Enter Photo and Film Contests at Library

Teens ages 12 to 19 are invited to enter two creative contests at the Schaumburg Township District Library.

Teen Place is seeking submissions for The Teen Film Fest, which will take place at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 22. Categories include comedy, drama, action, horror and animation. Films must be seven miniutes or less-anything longer will not be accepted. Participants should post their submissions to YouTube and send the link to studio@stdl.org. More information, included rules for submission, are posted on teen.schaumburglibrary.org. A prize will be awarded for the winning entry.

Submissions to the Teen Photo Contest will be taken until Sunday, Aug. 31. To enter, teens must submit original photos in the following categories: wildlife, people, black-and-white, nature, or photobombs, and email them to stdlteens@gmail.com. Each photo earns an entry into a drawing for a $50 gift card. Entries must include the sender's name, age and title of each photo, and photos will be featured in the Teen Place in September. Teens are welcome to borrow cameras from Teen Place.
