Two people were arrested Thursday in connection with an armed robbery at a gas station in an unincorporated area near Harvard, police said.

Savanna K. Victory, 19, of Crystal Lake, and Jacobb Knobbe, 20, of Capron, each were charged with armed robbery, burglary and theft, according to a news release from the McHenry County sheriff's office.

Police said a masked subject entered the gas station and demanded money from an employee about 3:10 a.m. Wednesday at Mobil, 24102 Route 173.

The arrests came within 48 hours of the robbery, thanks in part to tips from Crime Stoppers, the release said.

Surveillance footage was released to the public, and several community members came forward with information regarding potential subjects, according to the release.

Both Knobbe and Victory are being held on $200,000 bond each and will next appear in court at 9 a.m. Monday.
