N. America's elite pole dancers to compete for Midwest title in St. Charles

Fit and Bendy presents the Great Midwest Pole Dance Competition and Convention and the North American Pole Dance Championships. The Midwest's fourth annual professional pole dance championship and convention will be held Friday, Aug. 15 to Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main St., St. Charles. This is the largest pole dancing event of this type to be held anywhere in North America.

Five separate divisions will be held throughout the weekend which will include:

• North American Essential Pole division (professional finalists from the U.S., Canada and Mexico) at 6 p.m. Friday;

• Midwest Elite division (professional finalists from the Midwest States) at 8 p.m. Friday;

• North American Masters division (over age 40 with finalists from the U.S., Canada and Mexico) at 12:30 p.m. Saturday;

• North American Semi-Pro division (finalists from the U.S., Canada and Mexico) at 6 p.m. Saturday;

• North American Elite division (professional finalists from the U.S., Canada and Mexico) at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Beginning early Friday and concluding Sunday afternoon, it includes a vendor fair, workshops in stretching and flexibility, chair dancing, and pole dancing, presented by top professionals and champions. Presentations and free group classes will be held throughout the weekend including free intro to pole dancing workshops, with specialty workshops available for purchase.
