The Waukegan History Museum of the Waukegan Park District and the Waukegan Historical Society have a free guided walking tour titled "Waukegan and the Movies" on Friday, Aug. 15 at 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. Sites related to the making of movies, theaters, and movie stars will be featured on the tour led by museum supervisor, Ty Rohrer. The nearly two-mile tour starts at the Waukegan Park District's Visual Arts Center, 533 Grand Ave. in Powell Park, and will last approximately 1.5 hours. Wear comfortable shoes and bring something to drink. Tours will be canceled if it is raining or other inclement weather. To register, call the Waukegan Park District Jack Benny Center for the Arts at (847) 360-4740. Register online at www.waukeganparks.org. Preregistration is required.
