Sept. 8: Entry deadline for CLC's 'Recent Works' exhibit

The deadline to submit online entry forms for the College of Lake County's Recent Works 2014 exhibit is 11 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8. For the first time, entry forms and images can be uploaded electronically. Complete information is available at http://www.clcillinois.edu/recentworks.

More than $1,000 in cash prizes and purchase awards will be given to artists selected for the 34th Annual Recent Works: A Juried Competition at CLC's Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art. An opening reception will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3 in gallery.

Artists who are 18 or older and live or work in Lake County may submit up to two entries of original work completed in the past two years that have never been shown in the CLC gallery. Entry fees for one or two pieces are $20 or $15 for Friends of the Gallery members. The exhibit's jurors are artists Doug Jeppesen, ceramics instructor, Waubonsee Community College, and Nina Weiss, adjunct instructor, Columbia College.

The Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art on the Grayslake Campus is located at 19351 W. Washington St. The gallery is committed to displaying the works of Illinois artists and increasing the visibility of nationally known artists in Lake County. The gallery promotes tours and educational programs in conjunction with its exhibitions.
