• Stephanie A. Michaelson, 21, of the 200 block of National Street, Elgin, was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct/making a false 911 call, court records show. Michaelson called 911 with her cellphone to report that she saw someone running with a gun in the area of Prairie and Gifford streets, police said. Michaelson later told police she made the false report because she didn't want her boyfriend, Teaurus Lesure, who had been stopped by police on a traffic stop at that intersection, to go to jail. Lesure, 22, 500 block of Lowell Drive, South Elgin, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended driver's license, police said. Michaelson's bail was set at $3,500 in Kane County bond court, and her next court date is Aug. 20.
