Registration will soon open for Lake Forest College Oppenheimer Lecture with Michio Kaku

Lake Forest College invites you to attend the annual Oppenheimer Family Foundation Lecture featuring popular theoretical physicist Michio Kaku on Thursday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, across the street from Lake forest College's North Campus. The lecture is free and open to the public. Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Online registration will be available at www.lakeforest.edu/oppenheimer on Thursday, August 14.

Best-selling author, acclaimed public speaker, renowned futurist and popularizer of science, Dr. Kaku carries on Einstein's quest to unite the four fundamental forces of nature into a single grand unified theory of everything. He will talk about the latest discoveries and breakthroughs being made in neuroscience, based on his new book, The Future of the Mind.

The talk is sponsored by the Oppenheimer Family Foundation lecture series. Dr. Kaku joins a long list of Oppenheimer lecturers who have given talks on campus over the last several years, including former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, Pulitzer-Prize winning author and journalist Thomas Friedman, economist and presidential advisor John Kenneth Galbraith, Lincoln historian Eric Foner, and many others.

The First Presbyterian Church is located at 700 N. Sheridan Road, Lake Forest, Illinois. Additional parking will be available on Middle Campus and on surrounding streets.
