Night life: Bigby's opening a new joint in Rolling Meadows

Bigby's to open

A craft beer bar, Bigby's Pour House, will open a new location in Rolling Meadows at 4 p.m. Friday. The bar will serve beer and wine, while a kitchen will be opening at a later time. Bigby's has an original location in Addison; neither location serves hard liquor.

Bulldog Alehouse's Mondays

Have a better Monday at Bulldog Alehouse with $1 quarter-pound burgers, $3 Bacardi cocktails and $10 buckets of mixed domestic beers. There are currently 72 drafts on tap at the Roselle and New Lenox locations with 32 on tap in Carol Stream. If Monday should turn into Tuesday, try the $3 you-call-it cocktails with the $10.99 all-you-can-eat Buffalo wings.

Lucky Monk's monthly brew

August's brew of the month at The Lucky Monk is the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild's Replicale - a red ale with a pilsner malt, hopped and dry-hopped. Replicale, with an intense citrus taste, is at The Lucky Monk throughout the month of August.
