13 vehicles burgled in Arlington Heights this week

Burglars in Arlington Heights broke into 10 locked vehicles and entered three unlocked cars between 10 p.m. Aug. 3 and 11:30 a.m. Aug. 5, stealing items and doing damage to create losses of more than $10,000.

The burglaries occurred on the 1400 and 1600 blocks of East Central Road, the 2100 block of South Tonne, at the Metra depot at 2121 W. Northwest Hwy., on the 2000 block of West Euclid Avenue, the 1500 block of North Arlington Heights Road, the 1400 block of North Evergreen, the 1400 block of East Valley and in a restaurant lot at 910 W. Dundee Road.

Targeted vehicles include a 2002 Subaru, 2008 Honda Civic, 1995 Jeep Cherokee, 2013 Acura, 2005 Volkswagen Jetta, 2014 Cadillac, 2005 Honda CR-V, 2012 Nisan Murano, 2006 Land Rover, 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser, 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 1995 Toyota Camry and 2014 Chrysler.

Burglars stole iPods, in-dash radios, catalytic converter, backpack, eyeglasses, handbag, laptop computers, cellphone chargers, sunglasses, white sweater and a garage door opener.
