Vernon Hills is seeking a volunteer to serve as trustee on the village's police pension board. The board has four regularly scheduled meetings a year and special meetings as required. Trustees must commit to reviewing investment materials and may also be required to maintain confidentiality and objectivity regarding disability determinations. Trustees will provide input and vote on actions regarding the administration of the police pension fund. Candidates should have experience working with personnel issues, such as disability claims, and experience with the investment process. The term expires in May 2016. The candidate should live or work in Vernon Hills.
