Lindenfest takes place Aug. 7-10 with a parade and pageants
The village of Lindenhurst will present its annual Lindenfest celebration Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 7-10.
After the opening ceremonies at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, festival grounds will be open from 6-10 p.m. Thursday; 6 p.m. to midnight Friday; noon to midnight Saturday; and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at 2301 E. Sand Lake Road in Lindenhurst.
Guests will enjoy live music and other entertainment throughout the festival, along with food and vendor booths, bingo, carnival rides and games.
Special events planned include the Miss, Little Miss, and Junior Miss Lindenhurst Pageants at 6 p.m. Thursday, and a Battle of the Bands running all day Sunday.
The Lindenfest parade will start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The parade steps off from Beck Road and Rolling Ridge Lane and heads south on Beck to the Lindenfest grounds. The theme of the parade will be "The Great Outdoors."
