College of DuPage Hosts Central DuPage Hospital Active Shooter Simulation

Various agencies recently collaborated in an active shooter simulation organized by Central DuPage Hospital at the Homeland Security Education Center at College of DuPage. Eight paramedic students from CDH participated in the exercise, which included assistance from COD's Police Department, DuPage Public Safety Communications (DuComm), COD Emergency Medical Services students and the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS). Following the "shooting" in the HEC's immersive street scene lab, CDH students assessed and triaged victims before transporting them to the College's simulation hospital in the Health and Science Center.
